Mission and Origins

Environment and Health In Communities of Africans (ENHICA) is a concept which resulted from the deliberations and proceedings of the International Symposium-"Toxicology In The Tropics" which was held at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria, West Africa 4-9 February 1979.

Financial Supporters for this first Global meeting of Tropical Toxicology were:

  2. The World Health Organization (Africa Region)

  4. University of Ibadan, Nigeria and Enitan A. Bababunmi, Ph.D., DSc., FRCPath(UK)
    Founder and Chairman of ENHICA International Organization, and ASOPAH.ORG.

In cooperation with several international organizations, we planned to develop and sustain the scientific interests of African Youths for decent and productive research work.
